Baltimore Ravens: 5 Things To Be Excited About

The 2015 season figures to be a very memorable one in Baltimore, as the Ravens set their sights on a third Super Bowl Championship. Here are Five things that Ravens fans can be down right gitty about.

The Best Front 7 In Football: The Ravens have the best pass rushing duo in the league; Elvis Dumervil and Terrell Suggs remain elite. C.J. Mosley looks to become a premeir linebacker, the kind of linebacker the Ravens have always been known for. Carl Davis adds to an already dominant defensive line. Brandon Williams and Timmy Jernigan are beastly up front.

The Offense Picking Up Where They Left Off:

The Ravens have a new offensive coordinator in Marc Trestman but they don’t have a new offense. Trestman is going to continue what Gary Kubiak started last season. Joe Flacco looked like a brand new quarterback and he had a great season. The Ravens will continue to dominate with the zone running scheme. Last season nobody broke more 20+ yards than the Ravens. Expect a big season from Justin Forsett.

Joe’s Best Season Ever:

Flacco was less than 20 yards away from 4,000 passing yards last season. In the playoffs, Joe did what Joe does. He played a near flawless game in Pittsburgh, lifting the purple and black past the Steelers. He played a great game against the Patriots but the team fell short. This season you’re going to get playoff Joe all season long. Surely there will be a bad game or two but expect a huge season from the legendary number 5.

Maxx Williams Will Shine:

The Ravens have found their next Todd Heap. With Pitta’s fate uncertain, Williams will fill in big time for the Ravens. Williams is a big bodied target for Flacco over the middle. Toughness and reliability are going to be the trademarks of the Ravens new tight end.

A Real Shot At The Super Bowl:

The Ravens almost made it to the Super Bowl with the worst secondary I have ever seen. The team got significantly better in the secondary. A healthy Jimmy Smith and Ladarius Webb with Kyle Arrington make up an amazing cornerback trio. The Ravens also  got better this offseason by giving Joe some serious weapons. The Ravens have a real chance to win their third Super Bowl.
