Baltimore’s Other Guys: Offense
The Baltimore Ravens go into 2014 knowing exactly who their stars are. They have a franchise quarterback in Joe Flacco. They have a young superstar still in the making in Torrey Smith. Opposite of Torrey is the veteran, Steve Smith. Jacoby Jones is a deep threat and is growing into a decent weapon. The Ravens also boast one of the most reliable tight end duos in football, Dennis Pitta and Owen Daniels. Lets take a look at the “other guys”- the players that could make a name for themselves in 2013
1.) Kyle Juszczyk, FB: The Ravens second year fullback out of Harvard should benefit from Gary Kubiak’s offense. The fullback could see his fair share of receptions and will be a good blocking back. With the Ravens questions at running back, it is not unforeseeable that “Juice” could take some carries.
2.) Crockett Gilmore,TE : The tight end from Colorado State is probably the best blocking tight end on the Ravens roster. Gilmore will be the number three tight end in a tight end happy system. Expect him to be used as a blocking tight end who can also make a difference as a receiver.
3.) Marlon Brown, WR : The second year receiver is looking to build off a better than expected rookie year. Brown will be the number 4 receiver and will rotate in and out of the game. Brown has a knack for making tough grabs in the end zone.
4.) Michael Campanaro, WR The Ravens hope to develop Campanaro’s game. He will see snaps in the slot, where he can be a lain in the neck to any defense.
5.) Justin Forsett, RB: Forsett knows the Gary Kubiak offense and adds experience to the Ravens backfield. He is battling to be the Ravens number 3 running back. He will most likely be on the active roster to begin the season, due to Ray Rice’s imminent suspension.
